Impressive was participation to the event organized by the Municipality of Naoussa on new NSRF 2014-2020programs. More than 150 people, mostly young, came to hospitable “Vetlance” Hall, on Wednesday January 20th, showing in the most emphatic way the need to strengthen the local economy and the great interest in entrepreneurship.
At the beginning of the event, Deputy Mayor for Finance Mrs Chrysa Paschoula addressed a brief greeting, followed by presentations from specialized NOVACERT executives. More specifically:
Mr. Anthonis Mellios analyzed the structure, methods of funding, objectives and architecture of new NSRF 2014-2020. Also, Mrs Mellios referred to the allocation of Community aid by priority axis and by region.
Mrs Katerina Pyrogianni’s presentation referred to programs “Enhancing tourism businesses to modernize and upgrade the quality of services” and “Development of micro and small existing businesses to develop their capacity in new markets”. It was a detailed presentation of the objectives, budgets, aid rates and conditions of participation, as well as of the eligible costs of each project. Also, Ms. Pyrogianni stressed the points that require special attention, in the process for submitting investment plans.
Next presentation was Mrs Maria Tsiaka’s, who thoroughly analyzed the opportunities offered by the “Self-Employment Assistance Programs for Higher Education Graduates” and “Start-up Entrepreneurship”. Mrs Tsiaka outlined the objectives and budget of the above Programs and mainly the categories of beneficiaries, conditions for participation and eligible costs.
The end of the presentations was followed by an interesting open discussion with the audience, during which the speakers answered questions from the public, cited examples of investment proposals and provided basic instructions to ensure success of the candidate projects.
