In the context of promotion of Gerovassiliou Domaine PGI Epanomi wines in the Russian market, and in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed brand strategist Mr. Peter Economides, wine-tasting events were organized in Moscow. The events were attended by the Ambassador of Greece in the Russian Federation, Mr. Andreas Fryganas, General ISD Director, Mr. Elias Thanasas, Gerovassiliou Domaine Sales Manager Mr. Christos Dimistos, and NOVACERT General Manager Mr. Athanasios Tamparopoulos.
On the other side of the Atlantic, “Rice Up” products promotional activities were continued, with Agrino as Lead Partner. NOVACERT having chosen top chef Mrs. Diane Kochilas as Ambassador of the campaign in America paves the way for exports of European rice products in the US with a series of presentations for food importers, chefs, journalists and media gastronomy, as well as live cooking shows in restaurants and exhibitions made by renowned Greek origin chef.
The Australian market has been a major target for winemakers of the Xinomavro PDO Naoussa wine region. For this reason, a business delegation, formed by producers’ representatives and NOVACERT Commercial Director Mr. John Stergiou, traveled to faraway Melbourne where tasting events with industry professionals were held as well as events open to the general public, under the supervision of acclaimed sommelier Mrs Angie Giannakodakis.
Porto Carras Estate PDO Slopes of Meliton – PGI Sithonia wine export promotion events were focused on Russian and Australian markets, in collaboration with NOVACERT.
Meanwhile, actions to promote “Authentico” basket including products: PGI Thassos Extra Virgin Olive Oil, PDO Thassos Throuba Olives, PDO Naoussa Xinomavro wine, PDO Mytilene Kasseri cheese, PDO Lesvos Ladotyri cheese and PDO Mytilene Feta cheese, were implemented in Germany and Belgium. “Authentico” roadshow passed through fifty restaurants and delicatessen shops, while a food festival was organized in Brussels central square, featuring Protected Designation of Origin and Protected Geographical Indication Greek products.
At the same time, under “Hello Kiwi” program targeting exports of fresh kiwi, a Greek business delegation participated in a food exhibition held in Johannesburg, followed by a South African business delegation hosted for the first time in Greece.
Finally, Peach Garden” and “Freshcano” programs are in full progress, for the promotion of fresh and canned peach respectively, including promotional events and extensive product sample distribution to consumers of Iran, Egypt, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
